I have to make a tea before i go on the gas cooker, so I find a ceramic open bowl which is blue glazed and I put it on the gas. The rings are a little faulty, there is two of them that are a bit broken. I try to mend one of them which works so I try to mend the other one and it breaks and lots of gas starts pouring out. It's very noisy. I shout to James to turn off the gas at the mains. He panics as cannot do anything. I have my hands covering up the gas leak, if I let go gas will likely catch fire so I tell Marie to listen. I explain to her that there should be a tap on a pipe on the side of the house. She goes to turn it.
