Sculptures....

Dad says

"I don't like it, its been spoiled. "

I look at it. It has changed. It has lost its shine. It has become
more dull, and the surface looks unfinished, it looks all bumpy.

It looks small. It looks the size of a hand. Interestingly, it looks
the shape of a hand, and the coloring has changed, it has this brown
look to it.

"It ought to go outside.." Dad says. I know what he means, but I don't
think it will get noticed outside. I explain to him my reasoning for
wanting it indoors and my hope that it will lead on to more work in
the future.

"What were you thinking?" He says, "You must have been under enormous
pressure,.."

James is listening to him,

"Dad is right, its no small ask"

"This is one of the few sculptures that you could really show to people, and you have gone and wasted it..."

I look at what it has become. It looks kind of like many hands all
waving, perhaps the arms of Shiva.

I also see how it can be mounted outside, there is this circular hole
in its base that it needs fixing on to.

James says that he will polish it up again, and make it look nice.

I feel I have perhaps made a grave error,  judging from what my dad is
saying to me.
