Sculpture Videos.

I meet this guy who works for this big company. It has high security. He
sneaks us in so that we can see what goes on. Its a big manufacturing
company. Every area has swipe cards to get you though to the next bit.


Somewhere along the way I meet a sculpture guy.

  I have to get there by cycling down a vertical slope into water, its in the park,
  Really difficult to just let go into it. It is a risk if you're
tense, but if you relax it is safer.

He has son. I meet his son and he tells me to carry on through the
underwater room into the next room. I'm surprised to find a studio.
There are interesting little sculptures dotted around. They are
intricate and pattern based and textural. They are like mini Peter Randel Page sculptures. The Spiral is a key theme.

Someone asks me where I get my stone from. I tell them a quarry. They
suggest that I make a video of the whole process. I think this is a
brilliant idea.

I start planning out my video, how it will start in the peak district,
how I will talk about the process like a story, how the human machines
are eating into the earth with saws and explosives, and how gradually
a bit of stone comes to me and how I carve letters on it with hard
chisels.

I wake up from this dream into another one. I'm with this lady friend.
We are on a family holiday. She stirs me and says its soon time to
leave. I get up, wander about and then go back to bed to write down my
dream.
