Hermes and Persephone

I'm at notre dame school.

I'm with simon, we are traveling. I meet his new girl friend.

In the play ground I play lots of ball games to pass the time and to
find something that is less boring and soul destroying. There are lots
of angry people about but provided I'm playing a game everything feels
ok.

I find myself on top of a tall building with a fire. Simon and nick
are gathered around the fire. A young couple come to join us. We talk
about playing role play games. Two more guys come to join.

Nick or Simon sparks up a conversation about mythological characters
that is really interesting. They start talking about Hermes and
Persephone. One of the guys says,
"This is really boring, these characters are long dead. Let's make up
new characters".

I spark up

"I disagree. I think that characters are kept alive by talking about
them. And they evolve to suit the needs of those who play their
roles."

We move into spontaneous theater. One guy begins to play this self
destructive role, because he wants all the attention on him. He is a
depressive.

The girl who has a partner with her plays the role of Persephone, and
she has to try and lure this sacrificer guy from jumping off the
building by getting him to fall in love with her. Her real life
partner has to play the jealous lover role because that's how he's
feeling.
Nick has to play Hermes because Hermes has a very important role to
play and it involves saving the sacrificing roles life.

The sacrificing role, played by this depressive guy, is enacted out as
real. He pretends to not notice that his cloak has caught fire, and
stands on the edge of the building and everyone tells him that his
cloak is on fire. He removes his cloak, on fire, which then lights his
under garments. He has gone into a psychopathic trance. He feels no
pain. Now he is about to jump off the building. Persephone goes over
to him to try to lure him back with her love, but it does not have the
strength to do so. Just as he is about to jump, Hermes steps up, and
picks him up an throws him into a pile of snow.

"Don't waste away your career like that! Remember who you are!"

He picks him up again and throws him like a pile of skin and bones
into a bigger pile of snow which puts out his fire.
