The new guy at Coed, and the Sun Dance Ritual

We meet this new guy at coed, during an abundance session (the one where I tell someone I have more sympathy for V than before) and he is really helpful because he is so strong, but he is also
a little uncontrollable, and when he goes out of control it takes all our effort to pin him down because he is so strong. He flips out, and Pete and me and a few others get him in an arm lock, and manage to restrain him while he is loosing it.

I take him to see Tipi Phil, and he finds Tipi Phil intimidating even in his new stone house. (definitely not his tipi). He gets paranoid and thinks phil is out to kill him. He finds the chaos of the place quite disturbing and can't cope with it.

I make a potion as a drink but the water I used for it is not clean, so I have to offer it back to the earth.

Sweat lodge Claire is here, and  she is showing us a new ritual. Its a ritual to bring the sun out after all the rain we have been having. Claire demonstrates what we need to do. She takes a goodly pinch of sugar in her hand and puts some of it in her mouth and mixes it around with her saliva and runs out across the field spitting it out and speaking her words of thanks to the land for its food and nourishment. She dances her self into a frenzy,  and indicates to us that we need to join in. We take it in terns to put some sugar in out mouth and run over the land spitting it out and sprinkling it out of our hands and giving our words of thanks.

 Claire says that we have to sweat out all this water out of our bodies. This new guy is a bit afraid of doing this.

 "its a metaphor" I say.

Clare looks me in the eye, as if saying that she really meant it literally when she said it .

The new guy thinks he will loose it again if he gets involved in the ritual, but we say he does not have to do it in time with us. He can do it in his own time.
