The Medieval View of the Cosmos

Im with Richard Clare on his allotments.

Its raining very heavy and we are in the shed, talking with some friends. We are talking about medieval cosmology.

I am describing to Richard and the other people up there how back in medieval days people thought that the earth was the center of the universe, and that there were 7 or 8 levels above the earth upon which the heavens moved.

There was the Moon, Mercury, Venus, the Sun, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn, and beyond Saturn there was the starry heavens with the zodiac in.

I see this image in the dream, its from the book that I was told to buy in a dream  -

I am describing to the people up there that people believed that there are angels and certain beings who exist on the different levels.

Richard gives me a knowing look in his eye. The rain keeps tipping down. Richard is looking very happy and content.
