I am in a playground talking to some philosophers and scholars, they
are selling wisdom tickets to the masses. I am reading a little book
which talks about plato and how he inherited the earth, so I go and
talk to them about it. They give me some useful information which I
can't remember what it is!
Anyhow, I go away with my bit of information to finish of my book, and
walk through the park.
As I do I see some huge sculpted flowers, which are as tall as a house
and they have been installed in clusters along a bank at the foot of
the hill with the good view. I decide to go and walk over there. They
are roughly designed on the sunflower.
I decide to walk up the hill to see the amazing view from the top,
where you can see a full 360. I see some new people to the park, who
are commenting on the sunflower sculptures and how amazing they are.
They have not walked up the hill so I encourage them to follow me.
Its one of these parks where you have interactive pads in the ground
triggering sounds as you walk over them. The music is playing a simple
drum groove as we walk up the hill, and it rises in volume and climax
to the point we reach the top, past all the other sculptural shapes
and benches on the way up.
When we get to the top, the groove phases out and these angelic like
tones which are very atmospheric come in, which is quite emotive if
you've never heard it, but after a few times becomes a bit tacky.
Still, the view is spectacular whatever the sounds that are playing,
and somewhere inside me, my soul stirs and is moved, yet again, by the
landscape opened out before me.
