The forgotten part of yorkshire...

I am at a forest schools camp where people are telling stories of
pilgrimages they have been on. I meet this one girl who has a very
interesting accent and I try to guess where she comes from. I think
its somewhere off the west cost of england.  It is, she tells me. She
says 'the vale of firth'. I think this is scotland. I look on a map.
It is yorkshire she tells me. The map shows that a bit of yorkshire
stretches over to the west coast and owns a few fishing towns there.
One of them is even almost city size! This is like a hidden forgotten
bit of land that no one visits. There is no tourism there.
