There are changes going on in the park. The woods are being
drastically thinned - clearing out all the shrubby overgrowth in the
woods and talking out quite allot of big trees. I think it is being
over thinned, and am not happy about this - it will not be good for
the wildlife. But there's not much I can do about it. It is already
happening, so I just sit and watch.
The re landscaping may actually prove to be a good step in the long
run, and. May turnout to be an anticipation of when parks and
woodlands in cities become edible landscapes. This will be a shift in
function to the park turning them over to food growing. This will
surely happen in our lifetimes...

I am finding a quarry that can do little bits of riven slate.
