Funeral celebrations

Im traveIing in France and we are going to Granddads funeral.

I'm driving along with James, my brother, and we have to drive very carefully along the edge of a harbour, and we nearly get our car wheels off the edge, but just manage to stay on. My aunty tells me that there was an easier way to get but we done it now, and have got to where we need to get to.

We are at this central point on the harbour, and we come across all these baby mini dogs, gathered in a big mass without any adult dogs around- they are like abandoned puppies and they are so cute. I pick one up and cuddle it. Some how or other they are surviving out here.

We now get to a restaurant, and we are ordering food, and everyone is ordering rich sweet puddings which are very rich. Because Im late, mine hasn't been ordered yet, so mum tells me to order what james n dad have ordered as its lighter - hers is a very heavy thing, but its too late, I have already ordered what she ordered and ill just have to eat it. It arrives and the waitress makes a mess of it and decides to knock the price off it, because it looks a mess. I begin eating it and im sure that I will be able to eat it all, its this spongy sweet stuff that is purple. But i do find it much to sweet for my  general liking.

Now we are putting on smart clothes, and taking photos, and I have one taken with my dad and while the photos are being taken I see Granddad and I decided to start talking to him, knowing that others will think that I am making a joke that I am pretending to talk to granddad without realising that I am, - I can see him, but I don't know if others can too.

Then Granddads coffin is in france for the final ceremony, and because he wanted to be buried in
england, his one last gesture to people was that we accompany the coffin over to england on boats.
