crossing the waters

I am visiting the garden of one of my old school teachers. He is showing me round his garden, and about how he designed it. He has asked me to come and look as it will help him make some important decisions on how to sort out the water issue; he built a pond awhile back and it has been leaking recently and has been flooding his little garden.

At the back of his garden is a little island of land, about the size of a large shed, surrounded by water. My friends are here now, and the waters are rising. Soon one won't be able to get to the island without getting ones feet wet.

I make a leap of faith to get onto it, and the earth on which my feet land starts to crumble away into the water behind me, but I just manage to get on safely. I look back to my friends on the other side. It will b too late now for me to get back or for them to get across...

I am with my friends in bristol. Mikey needs some help shifting a bed out of his room. James and everyone else are too busy playing music to help him, so I go and help. I find a broken spade.
